On facebook.com today, I noticed a conservative friend had posted a video regarding the efforts of Republicans to get Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac more strictly regulated (Bush, McCain, etc.).  After adding a comment to his video posting regarding the lack of concern for the truth in news media reporting on the issue, a liberal Obama supporter posted his response to my post...

"It's a shame the Republican party is going to go the way of the Wig party: who will be left to change the subject, whine and complain about being left out, and blame everyone else for their short comings, while single handedly bringing the worlds most powerful nation to it's knees?!"

The way of the Wig party?  I guess this liberal has no idea how many American citizens voted for McCain - not exactly a sign of "going the way of the Wig party". 

Republicans "change the subject"?  I guess this liberal hasn't listened to any of the talk shows or network programs when Democrats are asked "Yes or No" questions - to a Democrat, "answer Yes or No" means "Answer with a question of your own".  Example:  Hillary Clinton's response to questioning about her position on releasing documents on interrogations recently.  She simply dismissed the question by making a comment about Mr. Chaney's credibility. 

Republicans "whine and complain"?  For the last 8 years, I've been watching Democrats whine and complain about how HORRIBLE everything is (in order to get elected) and blame anyone but themselves for anything they've done wrong.  America was introduced to the obviously orchestrated use of the word "quagmire" to describe the war efforts in Iraq, not to mention the bottomless list of negatives used by Democrats to describe the economy.  Obviously, when Democrats do the whining and complaining it's just righteous indignation.

Republicans "blame everyone else"?  Perhaps my facebook liberal failed to notice how the Democrats responded to the public outcry against their monsterous spending bill (commonly referred to as the Porkulous bill) that they claimed was a stimulus bill.  They wrote the entire bill, yet stated confidently to the all-too-passive news media that this was all just "left over from the last administration" and that they just needed to pass it quickly and "move forward"... who is blaming who?

"Single-handedly" brining America to its knees?  Fortunately for my liberal friend, American is not "to its knees" at all.  Obama is proving by his actions that he is symbolically bringing America to its knees before evil foreign dictators.  The use of this terminology by this liberal is a perfect example of political exaggeration used constantly for the last 8 years by the left in their effort to destroy the character and influence of President Bush and get the political power they so lust for.
